Has anyone thought about doing any of the DNA Genealogy Tests for the Rosson Surname? Such as http://www.familytreedna.com, http://www.oxfordancestors.com/ or http://www.dnaheritage.com/. I'm trying to find out if there is a long term interest in doing this type of thing?

I haven't used any of these companies.. and i'm just looking for feedback/interest.

DNA Testing

Post by Vonna Alexander »

Hello, Mark
I am new to this site. In reply to your inquiry about DNA tests, I might be able to gather some info for you from one of my other family lines that have done, and are trying to more, of the DNA tests. I do know that the minimum test costs are about $99 and I think that is for a 15 marker test. The tests are conducted from direct descendent males. If you are still interested, let me know and I will try to round up the information for you.

I would do this in a second. I am new to this site, THRILLED to see so many ROSSON's! I kept my name when I got married I was afraid we were a dying breed.

I cannot currently go back very far. My grandfather, REYNOLDS FARRELL ROSSON was from BRAGGS, Oklahoma. I think his mother or grandmother was a YOUNGBLOOD>
