John Rosson of Madison Co TN 1823

I found this while poking around. I don't know if this is of interest to anybody or not.

Rosson, John: Petition from Madison County concerning John Rosson and a mill.

http://www.tn.gov/tsla/history/misc/petition05.pdf

Copies of the actual petition can be ordered for $5.

J Worth Rosson

While looking at Middle TN Family Histories by M.A. Tucker & H.C. Marsh, I came across a J Worth Rosson who married Alma Bartlett on 3 Oct 1889 "at the home of the bride in Cornersville, Tenn." He apparently was born 13 Jan 1850. Anybody have any info on whose child this guy is?

Re: The rossons of southern middle tn in the early 19th cent

And Abner Rosson also ended up in Hardeman county. Speaking of which, can somebody give me his kids names? I recall having some difficulty reconciling what I had seen in other peoples trees on ancestry with censuses. There are entirely too many Johns, Josephs, and Williams in the Rosson tree.

The rossons of southern middle tn in the early 19th century

It looks like there are three groups of Rossons that immigrated to southern TN, but I'm unsure if they are related and if so, how.
